MVR Evaporation Salt-Making Technology: The Core High-Efficiency & Energy-Saving Process for Modern Salt Industry

Mechanical Vapor Recompression (MVR) evaporation salt-making technology is currently the mainstream modern core process in China’s salt manufacturing sector. As an energy-efficient new technology that has fully replaced the traditional multi-effect evaporation process, it is widely adopted in the large-scale and standardized production of refined edible salt and high-grade industrial salt. It fundamentally helps the traditional salt industry break away from the predicaments of high energy consumption, high material loss and high production costs, serving as one of the pivotal technologies for the transformation and upgrading of the modern salt industry.

Short for Mechanical Vapor Recompression, MVR technology is an industry benchmark for energy conservation in industrial evaporation. Its core working principle is to pressurize and heat low-temperature secondary vapor generated during salt production via dedicated compressors. This enables efficient recovery and closed-loop recycling of waste heat from vapor, completely phasing out the outdated production mode that heavily relied on external boiler steam and coal-fired heating in traditional processes. The overall heat energy utilization rate is greatly improved, cutting energy waste at the source.

Compared with conventional salt-making techniques, MVR evaporation salt-making delivers outstanding energy-saving effects, reducing comprehensive production energy consumption by over 30%. The entire production process requires no continuous supply of large amounts of external heat sources, which substantially curbs coal consumption and exhaust emissions. It fully aligns with the industry trend of green, low-carbon development, environmental protection and emission reduction.

In addition, this technology features excellent compatibility and can be perfectly integrated into fully automatic intelligent production lines. Supported by auxiliary equipment such as intelligent solid-liquid ratio regulators, automatic salt discharge devices and high-precision temperature control systems, it realizes unmanned intelligent management throughout the whole process including salt production, crystallization, dehydration and discharging. It effectively eliminates errors and operational instability caused by manual work. The finished salt products boast uniform and full crystal grains with steadily controllable purity, comprehensively upgrading product quality and overall production efficiency.
